Emporium Workshop - CTMH (June)

This is the project we will be making at the Scrapbook Workshop in June. I really love how the pages came together. ♥

We will create a 2-page layout at the workshop (picture 1) and have enough paper to complete two more 2-page layouts (pictures 2 and 3) at home and three or more cards (picture 4), PLUS still have plenty of extra paper if you want to make some more things.

*If you click on the thumbnail it will bring you to a bigger version so you can see more details.

Picture 1: 2-Page Layout you will compete at Workshop

Picture 2: additional 2 page Layout you will be able to make at home.

Picture 3: additional 2-page layout you will have supplies to make at home.

Picture 4: Three cards you will be able to make using your supplies

Now, mind you my original layouts look soooo much better in person because I have pictures instead of blocking out the kids in the photos, LOL. All layouts and cards are created using both upgrades to the Basic Workshop option.

Stamping techniques used: 2nd generation, rock-n' roll, multi-colour, random stamping, brayer and sponging.

Hope to see you at the Workshop in June.

(With the exception of June all workshops are on the 1st Monday of the month. A scheduling conflict arose and June's work shop has been moved. See my calendar for days/times of all my scrapbook/card making events. Just click on the even to see the details.)

May Calendars are up...yes, I'm late, it's been a busy month. More about that soon.

I'm running behind this week and just now put-up the May calendars. Ooooops! Hope you all had a fine May day yesterday.

Today is national scrapbook day; Mother's day is coming soon and don't forget the various other days to remember someone special this month.

Make sure you click on the calendar image to bring you to the bigger size before you right click to save it.

Just click on the Preview - it is the link to the other calendars.

Remember, once you are at the Fotki site you need to click on the THUMBNAIL of the image you want. From there you will get the full size calendar or the animated version, where you can right click to save it to your computer. Animation does not show in the thumbnail view - it shows only as black background. For some reason the thumbnails are not real happy to display gif images, LOL. Enjoy the calendars!

Don't for get to drop by my art page - where I have placed some card sets I made recently.

Zip: Another week - A new Adventure

Well, here it is another week gone by - zip! Where are they all going?

The trip to Boston was wet, cold, wet, and splash as we took the Duck tour through Boston and into the water. It was great! The kids all took a turn driving "The Duck". We saw a symphony, ate at a cool restaurant called Fire and Ice, where we each chose what we wanted to eat, placed it in a bowl and continued on in our quest for the perfect meal to finally end at our destination... watch them as they cooked our meal. We had a nice cruise one night (which also was my birthday) where they all danced the night away, and so much more.

Today we are off to Gettysburg for the weekend. Time to tour Gettysburg College, not to mention there are a couple of gatherings for us to attend. Tonight we start with the Dean's Scholar Reception and tomorrow we spend all day at a Get-Acquainted Day meet and greet program.

All this AND I've started a new venture. :) I am so excited to be a part of Close to My Heart as an independent consultant. I have always had a passion for stamping and scrapbooking and spend much time doing those activities when I'm not on line creating digital pictures with my PSP. Arts have always been where my heart travels for fun. I love teaching and helping others (elementary educator here), so what better way to combine all my hats on one rack! Now I can teach others the joy of scrapbooking and stamping and help them make many cherished memories to last a life time! ♥

Leaving for Boston with the Marching Band

We are heading out to see the sites and make some music in Boston.

I can't believe it's my daughter's last year in Marching band. Time sure flies by when you want it to stand still, LOL.

We are in for a busy 4 days. Included on the agenda in no particular order: Dinner at Fire & Ice, Blue Man Group, Tour of the Prudential Skywalk, Boston Symphony for a concert, Laser Music Show, Duck Tour, Witch Dungeon & Witches Cottage, Harbor Dance Cruise, U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides) and of course a performance by our very own band.

Hmmmm...I think there might be room in there some where for some sleep, LOL. Some how I doubt much of that will happen with high schoolers on board. See ya' all when we get back.
